My name is Kim Franzone and I am thrilled to be the Pre-k3 teacher here at Good Shepherd Catholic.
I have been teaching on and off for the past 25+ years... taking time off to be "mom". I taught first grade at St. Francis Cabrini in Fairless Hills and kindergarten at St. Katherine of Siena in Wayne. I graduated from Bloomsburg University with a B.S. in Early Childhood Education and continued graduate studies at St. Joseph's University. I am currently certified in Early Childhood and Elementary Education.
I have been married to my husband for 20 years and we are the proud parents of 2 sons... Ben who is a high school student at Malvern Prep and Louie who attends Lafayette College. We are active members of Visitation BVM Parish.
When I am not in the classroom you can find me in the kitchen with my younger son (who shares my love for cooking), at a swim meet "cheering on" my older son or visiting the beach.
I love teaching the "little ones"! They are always eager to learn and are like "sponges"... soaking in all you have to give. They come in as babies and leave us as "little people". Every day is a new adventure filled with love, laughter, learning and fun!
It is my honor and privilege to be a member of the GSC family.

Sunshine and smiles are a part of each day in preschool here at GSC. It is so much fun to share the laughter and love that abounds here. Each day is filled with an enthusiasm that is contagious and a warmth and kindness that makes GSC such a wonderful place to be.
I have worked in our Preschool program here for the past 15 years. Each day working in the Pre-k is a gift and blessing for me as I watch the children bloom and grow. I have been privileged to work with amazing people over those years and we have worked as a team to create a loving environment for the little ones. Previously, I have taught 4th Grade at St. James School in Elkins Park for five years in the early eighties. While my children were young, I taught in the CCD program at Queen of Peace Parish. I always enjoyed sharing my love for teaching and my Catholic faith with children of all ages.
I have been married to my husband for 34 years and we are blessed to have 5 wonderful children, John, Rose, Jim, Susanna and Mike. We have been members of Queen of Peace Parish for 32 years and my children attended school in this very building so Queen of Peace and Good Shepherd hold a special place in my heart.
Some of my favorite things to do are visits to the Jersey Shore with my extended family, reading a good book, cheering for our Philly and Penn State sports teams, trying new recipes and searching Pinterest for craft ideas for Preschool. I look forward to all the new adventures this school year will bring.
